Excellence
We define excellence from two ancient Greek concepts: Arete and Egkrateia. Arete is the achievement of full potential, physically, mentally, and spiritually, but it extends beyond self to benefit the community as a whole. Egkrateia introduces the concept of self control and was developed in reference to the practice of training Greek war horses. As a result of specialized training, these animals could exhibit the highest degree of strength and ability, with precision and control, under authority.
Service
In business, we aim to live out the role of the domestique in a multi-stage team cycling race. A domestique is a designated member of a cycling team that trains and races for the sole purpose of supporting the team leader to victory. We want to be on a winning team, but specifically want to play a role where we train and race in order to see lower middle market business owners cross the finish line first.
